For over four decades, Fishbone have continued to deliver a socially conscious sound that refuses categorisation. Following on from the release of last years Stockholm Syndrome album, legendary genre-defying pioneers Fishbone have now announced a North American spring tour. At each tour stop Fishbone will perform the ‘In Your Face’ in its entirety, a rare, full-album live experience followed by a second set packed with career-spanning classics and
favourites. This will all be in support of the upcoming ‘In Your Face’ 40th Anniversary Double LP Reissue, a limited-edition vinyl release celebrating the band’s groundbreaking 1986 debut album. Limited to 1,000 copies worldwide. Black and Tiger’s Eye vinyl editions available now
for pre-order HERE. The release features two albums – the first is a remastered version of utterly brilliant and much loved ‘In Your Face’ album. The second is the album ‘Cover Your Face’, a newly curated tribute album featuring Fishbone songs re-recorded by bands and artists from across the globe, each offering their own interpretation of the record. These have been recorded by artists that are fans of this mighty and legendary band, and these include Twin Shadow, Patrick Stump (of Fall Out Boy), Wheatus, Catbite, The Ratchets, Silversun Pickups, Kimya Dawson and more. Patrick Stump – “The first time I was exposed to Fishbone I was 7 years old watching TV. It was an explosion of punk, ska, soul, metal, reggae, and funk played by one of the tightest bands
I’ve still have ever seen, and it all flowed together seamlessly. To this day I can trace my
obsession with musical eclecticism back to that moment.” George “Twin Shadow” Lewis Jr. – “I’m eight years old, sitting on the couch watching Saturday Night Live… They launch into ‘Sunless Saturday,’ and it’s the most electrifying thing I’ve ever seen on television… That moment rewired me… When Fishbone asked me to be part of the new release of their first album, I immediately thought ‘Problems Arise’… Fishbone has always been
dance music to me. With my version, I wanted to accentuate that feeling and push it somewhere personal.” Brian Aubert of Silversun Pickups – “We’re Angelinos… If you lived here and you liked to drag mud on the carpet on all the wrong things in the world… you had to know Fishbone… This was a huge honour for us and we’re extremely proud to be a tiny blip in their legacy.” Looking forward, Fishbone has launched “Fishbone – Powered by the People,” a Kickstarter campaign running through 11th March 2026 to fund the upfront costs of recording a new studio album (for release this summer), upgrading touring gear, and manufacturing vinyl. True to the band’s fiercely independent ethos, the campaign places listeners at the centre of the process, offering a wide spectrum of pledger rewards that range from the new album on CD and exclusive special-colour vinyl to LP + CD bundles and signed editions.“Powered by the People” underscores Fishbone’s long-standing DIY spirit, inviting supporters to directly fuel the next chapter of the band’s boundary-breaking legacy.
