SECOND LONDON DATE ADDED
MILLIE MANDERS AND THE SHUTUP have announced a second date at London Lower Third on their forthcoming April headline UK tour following huge ticket sales for the first night.
In addition, the band have also announced that the first night in London on Thursday 23 April will see them play their debut album Telling Truths, Breaking Ties in full along with tracks from album two and earlier deep cuts with support from All Ears Avow (“pop riffs for emo kids”) and Bugeye (“dirty guitars and disco beats”).
The second night in London on Friday 24 April will see them play their second album Wake Up, Shut Up, Work in full along with tracks from the first album and again earlier deep cuts with support from All Ears Avow and a yet-to-be-revealed support that the band say, “we know you will also love”.
“We are SO EXCITED to be doing a mini residency with Lower Third in April, playing our albums in full on consecutive nights with bands we love,” says Millie Manders. “Come one, come all. This is going to be special; as special as Dingwalls last year and we CANNOT WAIT.”

Millie Manders and The Shutup’s cross-genre punk rock has become increasingly hard to ignore over recent years. With main stage appearances at such notable festivals as Slam Dunk, Beautiful Days and Rebellion, and extensive support from the likes of BBC Introducing, Radio X and national press, the last two years have propelled the band into the public conscience and the music industry at large.
Fronted by Millie Manders, whose staggering vocal dexterity backed by grinding guitars and irresistible horns has huge pop appeal, their lyrics deliberate on themes of loss, betrayal, anxiety, heartbreak and bitterness, anger, environmental catastrophe and political unrest. With a conscience that ensures zero plastic wrapping on all merchandise and that limited edition artwork and clothing is sold to help raise money for charities, Millie Manders and The Shutup are striving to make a difference whilst keeping us uplifted and brilliantly entertained.
“An explosion of sound accompanied by lyrics designed to wake your mind right up; MMATSU deserve to go stratospheric with this release” VIVE LE ROCK MAGAZINE 10/10
“Hewn from the human heart and soul; this could and should be the album that elevates MMATSU from punk heroes to household names” DEVOLUTION MAGAZINE
“What a glorious experience it is. There really is no one else like this band, as they fuse punk, ska and rock with melodies and a seething anger at all the absolute pricks out there” FIREWORKS MAGAZINE
“Ultimately, what truly sets Wake Up, Shut Up, Work apart is the unflinching honesty; in a world grappling with political unrest, environmental concerns and social injustices, this album serves as both a rallying cry and a comforting embrace” POWERPLAY MAGAZINE
