THE HARA – Kings (Official Lyric Video)

THE HARA reveal their latest single, ‘Kings’, laced with the bitter taste of broken trust. You can watch the lyric video HERE.

This is the latest song to be taken from their upcoming album, The Fallout, which will be released on 23 January via Mascot Records. They will also be touring the UK in February and March 2026 and have two special album launch shows, London & Manchester in January.

Speaking on the song’s heavyweight metallic shimmer, the band reveals,” This song is about losing trust. It’s hard to know what’s real sometimes in an industry built on dreams. When so many people make promises they can’t keep, you start to become cynical of everyone. I see the black in your eyes, I’ve found the monochrome you’re hiding. ‘ Even when you have success, you believe there’s always got to be a catch, or it won’t last forever. There is still an undertone of hope and belief portrayed through the lens of anger and frustration in this song, though, ‘you can take this part of me, burn the heaven down that I live in, basically, you can keep beating us down, but we will still find a way to make it out the other end.”

2025 has seen them fly through the European festival circuit, with performances at the Mighty Sounds festival and a surprise set at Rock For People in the Czech Republic, as well as 2000 Trees and Boomtown Festival in the UK. They supported Nothing More in Switzerland, careered across the continent on their own headline tour, and in October played a full UK tour with As December Falls.

Kings is the latest single to be released from the album, following Violence featuring As December Falls vocalist Bethany Hunter Jiménez. The song explored the concept of a two-way toxic relationship, drawn from personal experience.

The live-wire Easier to Die follows the theme of losing hope in the pursuit of success and succumbing to negative thoughts, a theme that followed the dark and intoxicating Stay. Heavy and personal entwine, and it’s this that creates the sheer electricity which emanates from the band, making them a breathtaking spectacle to watch – anyone who has caught them live can testify to the energy that explodes from the stage.

The Fallout allows the band to express themselves in a way that enables them to be supremely honest and open, whilst directing it towards a creative outlet. “Each song is a representation of the suffering I feel internally and how it manifests itself in different ways throughout my everyday life, relationships and as the frontman of THE HARA, having to deal with the chaotic ups and downs of band life that we already face. I’m still learning to find healthy ways to cope with my mental health, but sometimes in the moment, it’s easier to self-destruct, because even if the resulting effect is negative, it’s still better than facing the unknown, ‘The Fallout’.”

Their raucous genre mash-up of alternative rock, metalcore, and emo has already seen them grab the live circuit by the scruff of the neck and pick up support slots with pop-punk giants Sum 41, Nothing More, Escape the Fate, As December Falls and Ice Nine Kills. They’ve exploded across the festival circuit; Download, Slam Dunk, 2000 Trees, Kendal Calling, TRNSMT, Tramlines, Truck, Boomtown Fair and an incredible main stage set at both Reading and Leeds Festival, as well as main stage performances at Rock For People and Mighty Sounds Festival in the Czech Republic.

“This album is probably the purest, rawest version of us,” asserts Josh. “Musically, lyrically, everything feels the most authentic we’ve been. This is really who we are.”
