“…Ihe first time that I knew I’d taken too much.
It was too late and there was nothing I could do,
I was three steps too far in front of myself.”
Dubinski “Back To Basics”

November 19th, 2025: Having just completed a UK tour supporting Young Knives, upcoming indie-rockers Dubinski today release their blistering new single “Back To Basics”, listen here / watch the video here. The sibling quartet kick off a run of headline European dates tonight before returning to the UK for a headline gig at Camden Assembly on Tuesday December 2nd followed by a hometown gig at Edinburgh Cabaret Voltaire on December 13th.

Recorded at Salvation Studios in Brighton and produced by Grammy Award-winner Mike Horner, “Back To Basics” is Dubinski’s first new material since their acclaimed album ‘What Is Your Definition Of Happiness?’, released March 2025. A powerful, propulsive banger about choosing self-care over self-destruction, “Back To Basics” is another big leap forward for Dubinski, one of the UK’s most exciting and hardest working indie bands. Life on the road can take a heavy toll on a musician’s mental and physical health, something Dubinski frontman Eugene Gaine has learned the hard way.

“Back To Basics is about facing up to addictive and self-destructive patterns,” he explains. “The journey towards finding balance is a tough road to navigate, but breaking the cycle brings motivation and clarity. Attaining a healthy state of mind can only come from a commitment to taking care of yourself, building routine, and creating structure.”

Dubinski “Back To Basics”

Comprised of the Edinburgh-based Gaine brothers – Eugene (vocals, guitar), Fergus (lead guitar), Donal (bass), and Eoin (drums) – Dubinski combine big anthems with strong principles and should appeal to fans of socially conscious, fierce bands such as Fontaines D.C, Benefits and Yard Act.

Dubsinki’s European headline tour takes in a performance at Rolling Stone Beach Festival in Germany before returning to the UK for their biggest London headline show yet at Camden Assembly on Tuesday, December 2nd.
