Dom Martin & Blue Nation Create The Blue Martin: A One of a Kind Custom Built Guitar to Be Won Ahead of 2025 Co-Headline Tour

(Qualifying tickets to be purchased before midnight on Monday 27th October 2025)

When two leading names in modern blues-rock unite, the result is pure magic. Dom Martin and Blue Nation have created something completely unique, a singular guitar handcrafted through the vision of Birmingham’s melodic blues-rock trio award winning Emerging Act of The Year Blue Nation and multi-award-winning Irish guitarist Dom Martin, with the expert support of James’ Home of Tone and House of Tone Pickups.

Every inch of this instrument tells a story.

Heritage in the neck – Carved from the same wood favoured by Blue Nation’s bassist Luke Weston, the neck resonates with the groove and soul of countless live performances.
House of Tone pickup – The exact pickup that fuels Dom Martin’s unmistakable sound sits at the heart of this guitar, delivering tone as rich and expressive as the man himself. Described as the most authentic PAF tone available!
Gibson-style electronics – Wired to the same specs as Neil Murdoch’s Les Paul Custom, the electronics ensure a classic feel with modern reliability.
Body with history Generously donated by The Guitar Show’s Jason, the body echoes the shape of drummer Nick Sharman’s first guitar, mirrored for Dom Martin and Neil Murdoch as well, blending nostalgia with unrivalled character in its retro relic finish.
A lovingly aged 60s/70s vibe honours the legends who inspire both bands to this day!
Artistry by Jessica Rose – A stunning visual union of Blue Nation’s paisley flair and Dom Martin’s Celtic mysticism, two worlds interlocked, forever in motion.
Lacquer by Fenton Guitar Works – To preserve and elevate Jessica Rose’s design, Fenton Guitar Works applied a custom lacquer that perfectly complements the artwork, ensuring every intricate detail remains vivid and true to her original vision.
Hardware with Purpose – Every piece was chosen by both bands to achieve the perfect balance of style, comfort, and sonic punch.

Behind this project stands a network of passionate contributors.

Blue Nation’s singer & guitarist Neil Murdoch comments, “The Blue Martin is more than a guitar, it’s the sound of both band’s obsession to bring the audience something more. From James’ Home of Tone, who hunted down every perfect part and shaped a neck that sings, to Matt at House of Tone, whose TruPAF pickup gives us that award-winning, soul-stirring bite. Jason at The Guitar Show gifted the body, Fenton Guitar Works sealed it in a flawless lacquer, and Jessica Rose spent fifteen inspired hours weaving Blue Nation’s paisley swagger with Dom Martin’s Celtic fire. Together we’ve built a one-of-one instrument that feels alive in your hands – heritage in the wood, magic in the wiring and the spirit of every friend who helped along the way.”

To mark its creation, Dom Martin and Blue Nation will be giving fans the chance to win The Blue Martin. This is more than a prize, it is a piece of history, a living symbol of two bands coming together with one shared vision.

The unveiling of The Blue Martin comes as the perfect prologue to the duo’s 2025 co-headline tour across the UK and Ireland. After a triumphant run in 2024, where Blue Nation supported Dom Martin, the two acts return to the stage as equal partners, ready to deliver nights of unforgettable music and camaraderie.

Dom Martin reflects on their connection: “We booked Blue Nation as support in 2024 not knowing what to expect, but we clicked instantly. Their music is powerful, their lyrics thoughtful, and beyond that, they’re great people. Sharing a stage with them feels special. This tour is going to be unforgettable.”

Blue Nation echo the excitement: “Our last tour with Dom went so well, we had to do it again! There’s a rare chemistry between us on and off stage, and these shows will deliver a night to remember- plus a few surprises.”

The tour kicks off on November 1st in Cork and runs through to November 28th in Belfast, with stops in Dublin, Glasgow, Newcastle, York, Manchester, Chester, Bristol, Fleet, London, and Liverpool.

This is more than a guitar. It’s a singular piece of musical history, a 1-of-1 creation that will never be recreated.
