Following their formation in 2020, Northvale wasted no time establishing a heart-on-sleeve, emotive brand of pop-punk that displays the quintessential energy of the genre, whilst delivering honest lyricism and melodically weighted guitars.

Northvale was conceived on collaboration, and the band ensured this was a fundamental part of their formative work, teaming with The Home Team, Broadside’s Oliver Baxxter and In Her Own Words’ Joey Fleming.

Both tracks would appear on the band’s debut EP, The Things We Used To Be, a cathartic, lockdown-busting collection, offering an outlet for Northvale’s tales of loss, heartbreak and acceptance.

Early 2024 would see the New Jersey four return to the studio, collaring Brett Romnes (The Movielife, Hot Mulligan, Seaway) and Gary Cioni (Crime In Stereo, Lincoln Hotel Etiquette) for production duties.

The new cycle has been a resonating success to date. Northvale have struck an immediate and deep connection with existing and new fans alike with their cathartic, hook-lined alternative rock, effervescent in it’s candor. Summer single “Better When I Can” offered a stark look at addiction, with “Already Dead” seeing the group collaborate with The Dangerous Summer frontman AJ Perdomo.

Following on from the band’s most personal output to date, “Hang in There Kid”, new single “Bright Lights” is the final step on Northvale’s diligent journey towards debut full-length Where Do We Go When There’s Nothing Left? The new song is a hopeful and positive look to the future, and, though Northvale hone influence from the Drive Thru Records era of the years past, the New Jersey outfit are as fresh and contemporary a band as there is in the scene’s present.

Northvale is:
Keith Karol – Vocals
Mike Piacentini – Guitar
Chris Stroz – Guitar
Aren Millan – Drums
