“They already have an identifiable point of view and approach to the arrangements and sonics feel earned in a way it takes most bands a lot longer to find.” – Chris Carrabba, Dashboard Confessional

“3 Dollars grabbed my ear immediately with their fresh perspective on the musical ideas I grew up loving.“ – Steve Pedulla, Thursday

“Plus Tax isn’t merely a debut record, it’s a statement, one that says that 3 Dollars are well on their way to becoming a formidable act in America’s post-emo scene and are undeniably one to watch.” – Out Of Rage

New Jersey’s 3 Dollars are capturing the core of youth in the current world through catchy, emotional punk tracks. Formed in high school in 2022, the band have released several singles since, and will make their EP debut with Plus Tax out this Friday, July 10th through Smartpunk Records. The five track EP balances adolescence and nostalgia, built through sharp melodies, hooky riffs, and a hunger to be heard. Having already shared the melancholy single and video “Suppressed Memories,” today 3 Dollars give a second preview of the EP with opening track “Nauseous.” The song bursts with adrenaline and reflection as bright guitars bounce through tempo changes and snotty vocals. The video for the song follows a carefree day between friends turning into ruthless antics.

Watch the video for “Nauseous,” directed and produced by Rio Rosario, HERE and stream the track HERE.

On “Nauseous” vocalist Arthur Pawley shares:

“The lyrics were written from a place of reflection during a time where there was rapid change in my life. ‘See it more than you can’ reflects on recognizing one’s path in life more than others who haven’t come to find theirs.”

Plus Tax was recorded, produced, mixed, and mastered by Connor Priest at Timber Studios (Alex G, Tonks). The EP is available for preorder now through Smartpunk Records.

3 Dollars have already opened shows for Quicksand and 7 Seconds, and have several east coast dates this week to celebrate the record release. More info below.

3 Dollars is Arthur Pawley – Vocals / Guitar, Tyler Wachtel – Guitar, Ben Kamel – Drums, and Costas Krassos – Bass.
