YONAKA, comprised of Theresa Jarvis [vocals], Alex Crosby [bass], and George Werbrouck-Edwards [guitar], share a soaring new single entitled Give Me My Halo via LAVA/Republic Records. Listen HERE and watch the lyric video HERE. It heralds the arrival of their anxiously awaited Welcome To My House EP, on 28TH July. Pre-order/save HERE.
On the track, cinematic piano underscores emotional verses. Boosted by guitars and a towering crescendo, it climaxes on the chantable and empowering chorus as Theresa proclaims, “I don’t care anymore I want to feel untouchable, spread my wings, fly way, touch the sky, and breathe it in, so give me my halo.” It showcases the band’s uncanny ability to send a melody to the heavens.
About the song Theresa commented, “This song feels a bit different from what we normally do. We wrote it on piano and it’s very beautiful. It’s about acceptance and feeling comfortable within yourself and sometimes the journey to that isn’t always pleasant but it’s essential.”
It notably arrived on the heels of the band’s latest singles PANIC and EP title track, Welcome To My House. Their accompanying music videos continue to draw fans into world surrounding the EP.
Up next, the band will celebrate the release with numerous live dates this summer, including Reading & Leeds Festival and more. See full tour dates below.

ABOUT YONAKA
Sound bends to the whim of emotion. For YONAKA, music morphs in tandem with moods. Distortion teems with tension in moments of heavy catharsis, only to come back down in an exhale of electronic reprieve. As such, the UK trio fuse pop, punk, and hip-hop into a hypnotic alternative rock hybrid. The group burrow deep inside themes of mental health, empowerment
and the here and now with clear intention and expansive vision. After amassing over 150 million streams and earning widespread acclaim, YONAKA kickstart the next chapter with the release of their upcoming Welcome To My House EP out 28th July via LAVA/Republic Records.
The EP’s new single Give Me My Halo, spotlights Theresa’s showstopping vocals over stark piano, exorcising emotion in between the keys. Theresa notes, “It’s about being brave, welcoming change, trying new things, and really living for yourself. You’re turning from a caterpillar into a butterfly through experiencing life.”
Give Me My Halo follows the release of singles, Welcome To My House and PANIC. Theresa further explains the EP’s theme, “each song represents a memory or emotion inside me. The experiences I have gone through have all spent time inside my house and consumed me. With the EP being called Welcome To My House, visually I want listeners to be able to open up a door, come into my world and see what each song meant to me at that specific time in my life.”
“When you listen to us, I hope you feel empowered, heard, and like you’re not alone,” Theresa states. “Hearing other people’s stories has helped me heal and grow so much and I’d like to be that light for other people.”
