A few words about two tracks.PangeaPangea embodies the anger of a young generation at the current state of the world. The song’s lyric, “crush this place like pangea,” means that the old, conservative structures of this world should be torn down to give it a new face – a world where the concept of any discrimination is alienated and where the nature is not ruined for the sake of capitalism. It is meant to be a hopeful battle anthem for a generation striving for a socio-cultural and ecological revolution. In terms of songwriting, Bring Me The Horizon and Ghostemane were big inspirations. We wanted to combine the dark, menacing Ghostemane-esque rap style with a Bring Me-esque arena anthem chorus. We chose the house party setting for the video because the trap beat in the song reminded us of it. In addition, “crush this place like pangea” could also be interpreted as an invitation to freak out – so match made in heaven. We think this track could become a real alternative party anthem. RaptorenThe only song on their new album “Nublar” to contain German lyrics. The track is a heavy, emotional journey through singer Chris’s experiences growing up in the Eifel region of rural Germany, where he encountered many aspects of toxic masculinity, which, in the song, is compared to running from a flock of Velociraptors. Featuring a collaboration with Dennis Ackerman, the singer of Consvmer, one of the hottest German Deathcore/Beatdown newcomers, “Raptoren” is a powerhouse of a song that delivers both musically and lyrically. With raw vocals, heavy riffs, and thumping beats, XO Armor and Dennis Ackerman come together to create a sound that is both brutal and beautiful. The track’s accompanying music video is a wonderfully action-packed visual feast that will (kind of literally) blow your mind. Featuring the band and Ackerman performing in an eroded bus and a chase between singer Chris and hooded figures with guns and velociraptor masks, the video perfectly captures the energy and emotion of the song, and will leave you on the edge of your seat from start to finish. “Raptoren” is a must-listen for fans of heavy music, and for anyone who has ever felt the weight of being hated for who they are in their lives. With XO Armor’s raw honesty and Ackerman’s powerful vocals, this track is sure to become an instant classic in the metalcore/trap metal scene. Don’t miss out on this epic collaboration between two of Germany’s hottest metal acts. |
