Words That Burn have been fusing elements of melodic metal, and alternative rock, loaded with crushing riffs and soaring choruses, since 2013.
Taking musical & sonic influences from bands such as, Deftones, Bring me the Horizon, Slipknot, Northlane, Killswitch Engage, Architects, and Parkway Drive, they released their debut full-length, ‘Regret is For The Dead’ in 2016, which charted at Number 1 in the Irish Metal, Irish Rock, and Irish Mainstream iTunes download charts.
Between 2016 & 2019, Words That Burn toured the length and breadth of the Republic and Northern Ireland, including European dates in Hungary, Romania, Slovenia, Poland, and the Czech Republic, including a main stage performance at Exit Festival, alongside Destruction,
The bands’ sophomore album ‘PYRES’ was released Summer of 2019 entering the official Irish mainstream iTunes charts at number 9 before landing a number 1 slot. The album produced two additional singles ‘Arise’ and ‘Riptide’, before a number of live shows which included dates with Alien Weaponry and Beartooth.
