Witch Fever’s debut album, Congregation, oversaw a paradigmatic shift in music and culture, with its boundaryless punk and earth-shattering doom ushering in a new era of heavy music that is accessible, confrontational, and most importantly socially conscious. Looking forward to a new era, Witch Fever have now collaborated with close friends and Glasgow synth-punk enigmas VLURE, inviting them to twist “Blessed Be Thy” with their signature heavy rave-laced punk and trance – the product of which has fashioned an industrial slice of singular and charismatic dancefloor-informed punk. Witch Fever’s Amy Walpole’s signature vocal barks twist around aggressive high tempo breakbeats, as arpeggiated guitar lines swell to dispense ecstasy inducing crescendos. Here, both bands effortlessly entwine and enhance one another’s sound, and here again expectancies are defied as the rulebook is well and truly ripped up. In recent months, the band have been introducing Congregation to ever growing audiences. Between playing countless festivals in the UK and further afield, supporting Nova Twins on their recent UK tour, and promoting independent venues in association with Music Venues Trust with a #UnitedByMusic tour.
