Australia’s heaviest force of nature, WHITEHORSE, teams up with sonic chaos conjurer UBOA for a split album that doesn’t just crush and burns, it simply ruptures reality. Titled The Dissolution of Eternity, this release is a seismic document of devastation and transformation, set to arrive on LP, CD, and cassette on August 29 via Tartarus Records and Sweatlung. Just recently, Decibel Magazine premiered the lead single from Whitehorse, “The Wait”, calling it: “A tale of two tunes, with the first part a grinding, guttural sludge hammer and the second part a skree-filled noisescape littered with sonic detritus.” Listen to Whitehorse’s “The Wait” here. Rising from the depths of Whitehorse’s pre-Death Weight sessions, the band delivers two sprawling, noise-drenched monuments to doom, thick with slow-moving devastation and corrosive weight. Their side builds like tectonic pressure: unyielding, guttural, and terrifyingly real. On the flipside, UBOA, the endlessly inventive and emotionally devastating project of Xandra Metcalfe, picks through the debris with a cathartic howl. Her contributions are towering cathedrals of industrial drone and harsh noise, blending suffocating dread with moments of unearthly, haunting beauty. Pre-orders are now available at this location. |
