Westislonely returns with ‘Bad Dog’, the latest teaser from her newly announced EP ‘Man’s Ruin’ due 3rd July. The track marks a striking preview of what’s to come from the Manchester-based rising star. Opening with unmistakable vocals over gentle guitar, ‘Bad Dog’ quickly erupts into a powerful surge of self-assurance, cutting through with lyrics like ‘Don’t make beg again.
I’m sick of all the strings that you wrapped around my neck (so when?) will you loosen up the leash that you tied to me’.
The track follows West’s first release of the year, ‘Show Me a God, which introduced a bolder, more uncompromising sound. Together, both releases set the tone for ‘Man’s Ruin’ – a five-track project that signals a confident evolution, pairing the introspective narratives and vulnerable storytelling that first drew listeners in.
The new project arrives off the back of breakout single ‘Toothache’ and 2025’s EP – ‘Even A Worm Will Turn’ featuring tracks ‘Cliché’ and ‘Empty Space’.
