We Out Here Festival 2025 today unveils its full lineup of over 400 live acts and DJs heading to South West England for four days of outstanding music and so much more.
Announced today is an incredible array of pioneering stage partners from across the left-field musical spectrum. Tomorrow’s Warriors return for a second year running to take over The Big Top stage, creating a dedicated space at the festival for shining a light on emerging talent, such as Olympia Vitalis, Léa Sen, Lola Moxom, Ankora, Maddy Coombs, Ade Kayode, Kaidi Akinnibi and more. Also joining as stage partners; Distant Planet vs Future Retro, Brainchild Festival, Club Coco x Somewhere Soul, Trinity Centre, Outlook, Cosmodelica, Out Since Friday, Lemon Lounge, Near Mint, Love Dancin’, Brawnswood, and more, are playing host to groundbreaking new and established artists, including Sully, Tim Reaper, Goya Gumbani, Coco Maria, HiTech, Jianbo and many more.
The announcement sees a focus on the festival’s onsite radio station WOH Radio, with 13 different stations from across the country (and one from Berlin) all embodying the central theme of ‘Out Of The Shadows’, celebrating underrepresented subjects and communities. The programme brings together broadcasters from leading stations such as WorldwideFM and NTS, emerging presenters from community radio stations including Reform Radio, Voices Radio, 1BTN Radio, Soho Radio, Brixton Radio and Svara Radio, as well as 2 student radio stations from Manchester and Sheffield. Across a programme of 40 different shows, the line up includes leading broadcasters such as Andrew Jervis, Anu, Kath Mcdermott, Lupini, Mananami Macca, Colleen ‘Cosmo’ Murphy and Gilles Peterson. Show concepts explore the whole world with specific highlights on ‘The Creative Class Ceiling’, ‘The History of Afro-Rock’, ‘Queer Frequencies – Celebrating Queer Women In Sound’ & ‘Lost Grooves From Yugoslavia’ & ‘Deaf Loop’ a show about how deaf people interact with music, and many more.
Gilles Peterson’s award-winning festival returns in 2025 for its 6th edition, platforming genre pioneers alongside the best in emerging talent spanning the realms of jazz, soul, hip-hop, electronica and more. Set against the backdrop of the idyllic Dorset countryside, this year’s event is shaping up to be unmissable. Headlining this year is the incredible Michael Kiwanuka, along with Rotary Connection 222. Presented by International Anthem in conjunction with Charles Stepney’s daughters aka The Stepney Sisters, the Chicago ensemble celebrates and performs the music of the late-great Charles Stepney. Renowned for producing and composing with legendary acts; Earth, Wind & Fire, Ramsey Lewis, The Dells and more, Rotary Connection 222 are guaranteed to provide an unmissable experience for their European debut.
Also on the line-up is more Chicago brilliance with acclaimed rapper Noname, internationally acclaimed afrobeat and jazz project; Orchestre Poly Rythmo De Cotonou, vocal talent Jalen Ngonda, London jungle DJs 4AM KRU, Detroit techno legend Carl Craig, legendary disco soul singer Leroy Burgess, Gambian rapper Pa Salieu, double MOBO-winning rapper Bashy, jazz-afrobeat band KOKOROKO, & many more. Revered selector Theo Parrish is confirmed for an 8 hour extended set alongside the likes of Ben UFO B2B Josey Rebelle, Jamz Supernova, Livwutang, Roni Size, Francoise K, Major Force, Marcellus Pittman B2B Maurice Fulton, Distant Planet, Channel One, Aba Shanti & more across the weekend.
This year, We Out Here also dedicates a portion of programming to celebrate 40 years of The Bristol Sound with artists including Smith & Mighty, Daddy G, Queen Bee, DJ Nature, Roni Size, Om Unit, Yushh, Peverelist and more. The festival also offers a variety of talks, activities and wellness.
The programme is carefully curated to celebrate left-field culture across 15 unique stages over the weekend. From the large open-air forest dance floors to small and intimate homemade sound systems; there’s truly something for everyone! We Out Here line ups are a love letter to phenomenal music and the scenes that nurture it, programmed with consideration and passion. Pockets of music lovers from all over the UK gather together for a weekend of connection, collective joy and musical discovery.

Having taken their name from the 2018 Brownswood compilation; a calling card for London’s bright-burning young jazz scene, We Out Here Festival sees integral members of the movement alongside legendary icons, genre-spanning DJs and young improvisers alike for four days of music in one of the UK’s most beautiful, landscaped festival sites. Joining the musical dots between soul, hip hop, house, afro, electronica, jazz and beyond, We Out Here showcases both outstanding live music and some of the best record collections in the world. They also place an emphasis on high quality food and drink offerings, arts and cultural offerings, crisp sound and production, family activities and wellness: all to compliment quality-led musical curation.
Gilles Peterson
Best known as a radio presenter on Saturday afternoons on BBC 6 Music and as an international club DJ, Gilles Peterson is also an avid record collector, a curator, a music producer and record label boss. Every year he puts on three large events – the Worldwide Awards in London which are his annual showcase of that year’s best music, and the Worldwide Festival which has expanded to two editions – one in south of France in July and one in Switzerland in March. He also presents a syndicated weekly radio show that is broadcast all over the globe, from Shanghai and Sydney to France and Germany.
