London-based duo WARGASM have today unveiled their latest single, ‘Small World Syndrome’, marking their second independent release since declaring themselves “free from the industry machine.”

A sharp reflection on the modern world’s slow erosion of magic and individuality, the track is a raw response to cultural homogenisation, gentrification, and the disappearance of what once made life feel special.

Speaking on the single, the band explain, “They replaced sulphur street lamps with day glow bulbs, they changed the packaging on cigarettes – do you ever feel like there’s a bit less magic in the world? You wake up one day and the venues, the cafes, the cinemas you loved have been shut down. The things that make the world special are bulldozed by greed and homogenisation. Reality gets smaller by the day. Maybe the world’s not smaller – there’s just less in it. This is a little song about that. Your feelings are better out than in.”

Expanding on the official music video, they continue, The video is a Wargasm x (Haris) Nukem Production, shot in a bizarre  world where backstreet lobotomies are the norm and deceivingly hench old ladies loiter on park benches to attack unsuspecting ASBO’s. Oh, and Milkie is running for Leader. You gotta be honest with us – somehow it still doesn’t seem as surreal as the mindfuck world we all actually inhabit…”

As well as recently being announced as support for Electric Callboy on their UK / EU arena tour alongside Bury Tomorrow, WARGASM have just announced an exclusive and ‘Phone Free’ UK headline show at the immersive Outernet in London, bringing along special guests Tropic Gold and Filthy Pig.

WARGASM are the riot you wish you started. A hyper-charged collision of metal, industrial, rave, punk and glitch-pop chaos, the duo – Milkie Way and Sam Matlock – have weaponised their genreless war cry into one of the most volatile and vital voices in modern alternative music.

After detonating the underground with early cult favourites like “Spit.”“Salma Hayek”“Rage All Over” and “Scratchcard Feeling”, they lit the fuse on 2022’s explosive EXPLICIT: THE MIXXXTAPE. The project drew co-signs from the likes of Jonathan Davis (Korn) and Fred Durst (Limp Bizkit) – the latter even dragging them across arenas on a U.S. tour. Their hybrid sound and anarchic live shows quickly made them the kind of band just as comfortable supporting YUNGBLUD as they were sharing stages with Slipknot or BABYMETAL.

In 2023, WARGASM unleashed their official debut album VENOM – a savage, seductive and unpredictable middle finger to genre convention, fuelled by a generation’s righteous rage and digital dysfunction. Singles like “Bang Ya Head” (feat. Fred Durst), “Do It So Good”, and “Modern Love” blurred the lines between club floors and mosh pits with unapologetic abandon.

Now in 2025, following a relentless global touring schedule, headline festival slots, and millions of streams clocked, WARGASM are no longer just the future – they’re the now. With new music on the way and a bloodthirsty global fanbase at their backs, Milkie Way and Sam Matlock continue to destroy and rebuild rock music on their own scorched-earth terms.
