Fresh from the release of Villagers’ beautiful sixth album That Golden Time, Conor O’Brien is pleased to share a brand new single “Mountain out of a Molehill” – with its cinematic strings, cascading keys and Conor’s mellifluous tones, it’s a glorious addition to the Villagers canon.
Conor O’Brien says of the track: “I see it as a kind of psychodrama; a song to quell that relentless attention-seeker within. It’s just some self-administered advice to me and my undulating ego.”
O’Brien also recently released Passing a Message on Faber Music – a full-colour hardback of the lyrics of over 80 songs from the Villagers songbook with Conor’s drawings, photographs and previously unseen notebook lyric drafts. Buy standard and deluxe versions here.
