February 11, 2025: Dubinski have today released ferocious new single “Feel It”, the latest track to be lifted from the sibling indie-rock quartet’s new album ‘What Is Your Definition Of Happiness?’, available on LP, CD & digital formats on March 7th, 2025. Born in North Yorkshire but now based in Edinburgh, Dubinski are the Gaine brothers – Eugene (vocals, guitar), Fergus (lead guitar), Donal (bass), and Eion (drums). “Feel It” is an adrenalin-packed blast of fidgety rock’n’roll energy which clocks in at just over two minutes. With its staccato guitars and propulsive rhythms, the track has echoes of early Franz Ferdinand. “This song is inspired by the notion that behaviours and thought processes are inherently passed down or learned from watching and experiencing someone wiser than one’s self,” explain Dubinski of the track. “Hinting at the idea or self progression and self discovery, where you acknowledge a mistake or bad experience and learn from it, grow with it. Bring a positive from something that wasn’t.” The video for “Feel It”, animated by Luke Toth, echoes the song’s themes of challenging establishment beliefs through anti-establishment behaviour, and was influenced by the film Kes (1969) and Len Lye abstract animation. |
