Following a string of highly successful singles, UK alternative metal outfit PHOENIX LAKE have shared their planetary debut LP, Seraphina: The Fall From Eden, today (27th Feb) via self-release. The album’s release comes alongside a video for the album’s focus single, “This Abyss“, directed by Jay Sanderson. A conceptual epic to its core, Seraphina: The Fall From Eden is self-described by the band as “a concept album that chronicles the journey of a fallen angel as she navigates the complexities of human existence.” The band continues, “We didn’t originally intend to create a concept album; our only goal was to make music that captured the tangled mess of emotions that reveal the raw beauty of being human,” they say. “But after releasing “Fractured Wings” — our first single following the EP Beyond the Flames — we were inspired to reimagine the lyrics in a more literal sense. From that idea, Seraphina’s story emerged” They conclude: “The album follows her descent and transformation. After falling from Eden, she is thrust into an unfamiliar world and begins searching for meaning in the chaos. Over time, she uncovers love, summons inner strength, and ultimately finds redemption.” |
