UK metal band HERIOT announce debut album, Devoured by the Mouth of Hell, out September 27th on Century Media

Today, UK metal innovators HERIOT announce their debut album, Devoured by the Mouth of Hell, out September 27th on Century Media. Recorded with Josh Middleton (Sylosis, Architects) and GRAMMY Award-winning Will Putney (END, Fit For An Autopsy, Better Lovers), the album is ten songs of pure intensity. Weaponizing metallic sludge and hardcore, unholy levels of distortion, speed and gut-punching talent, HERIOT have created a mammoth debut. Having teased early with single “Siege Lord,” the band now shares “Foul Void.” Rife with an atomic dual vocal attack and shattering riffs, the track would appeal to fans of bands like Knocked Loose, Vein.fm, and Dying Wish. The video for the song weaves through haunting imagery with a dynamic performance, and can be watched HERE.

Speaking on “Foul Void,” the band shares”:

“‘Foul Void’ was one of the last tracks written for our debut album, Devoured by the Mouth of Hell. Sonically influenced by ’90s and early 00’s metalcore, the song delves into the inner struggle of an individual facing uncertainties about their faith.”

HERIOT debuted in 2022 with the Profound Morality EP (Church Road Records), catching the attention of Century Media who first joined forces with the band in late 2023 for single “Soul Chasm.” The band’s rise in the UK lead to a sold out headline tour and performances to packed tents at festivals like Download and 2000trees. This summer HERIOT will hit the festival circuit again, followed by a European tour at the end of the year alongside Fit For An Autopsy, Sylosis, and Darkest Hour. Dates below.
