Based out of Kent, STRUCK/DOWN are a modern groove metal outfit that are all about riffs, grooves and huge hooks. Drawing from a range of influences, such as Mastodon, Lamb of God, Gojira and more, STRUCK/DOWN‘s vice-like grasp on the modern groove metal sound no more evident than in the band’s latest singles, “Leach” and “The Slog” — planetary, boisterous and riff-laden slices of modern heavy goodness. Since the release of the band’s debut EP, From Demons, in November of 2021, the band have been consistently making waves within the UK metal scene. With appearances at such venerated UK festivals as Bloodstock Open Air, alongside supporting slots for the likes of Raging Speedhorn, STRUCK/DOWN‘s impact in such a short time is undeniable. The release of sophomore EP, To Witches, in 2023 saw the band further establish themselves and garner even more critical acclaim, which caught the attention of the likes of Metal Hammer and Emerging Rock Bands. Now, with the band’s debut LP, Queue For The Cure, due for release, the future is looking even brighter for the modern metallers. |
