This carries through in the songs which feel like an explosion of frustration, anger, energy and some humor.” “Being signed to the label has felt like an amazing opportunity for me as an artist” explains Hex on joining the Manic Kat Records roster. “It’s also helped give me a drive and real focus for my music.” |
Formed in 2019, in Leicester, UK, Hex Poseur delivers a voracious and unerringly bold soundscape, bringing together influence from across garage rock, alternative and punk. 2020 saw the release of 2 part EP, ‘Keep It Quiet’, with the sophomore release showing elements of PJ Harvey, Queens of The Stone Age and The White Stripes, an immersive blend of grungy guitars, sharp lyricism and an engrossing vocal delivery. The subject matter and aesthetic of new EP ‘Hearsay’ is driven by UK punk, both past and present, as well as the Riot Grrrl movement of the 1990’s, and this shines through as an expression of disillusionment in modern day politics and societal disparity – a sharp and smart take on the world in 2022. ‘Hearsay’ is out now on Manic Kat Records, stream in full here. |
