About Two Year Break

Originally making their name in the pop punk scene, Two Year Break have since transformed their sound into something more diverse and unique. Heavily influenced by artists like Bring Me The Horizon, Enter Shikari, You Me At Six and Don Broco, the London based alt pop-rock outfit blend heavy rock riffs and captivating melodies with electronica.

Selling out every hometown (London) headline show to date, including the official release show for their sophomore album ‘Light It Up’ at Camden Underworld in March 2024, a healthy UK shows history, supports with bands like Punk Rock Factory, As December Falls, Thecityisours and appearances at Teddy Rocks Festival, Evoke Festival, Camden Rocks, Takedown Festival, Hometown Festival, Primordial General Mayhem, the band have been making an audible noise on the alt rock scene.

Two Year Break’s debut album “Do You Wanna Find Love?” (October 2021) was produced by long time friend and co-writer Clint Murphy (Enter Shikari, Busted). All 5 single releases from this album saw extensive radio support from Radio 1, BBC Introducing Essex, Kerrang! Radio and Triple J, with DJ’s raving about the band. Most notable of these singles is “Lovin’ Every Day”, featuring Charlie Simpson of Busted/Fightstar.

Their sophomore album ‘Light It Up’, again written with and produced by Clint, was released on 1st March 2024. The album singles – “Don’t Bring Me Down”, “Listen Up”, “Unoriginal” and “Take It Down” tell the finely crafted story of a Dystopian world, which sees the band as members of The Resistance, fighting to free a futuristic city of its oppressors, The Regime.

The singles received great support from the media, with Radio 1 attention from Jess Iszatt, Jack Saunders, Alyx Holcombe and Nels Hylton. “Listen Up” featured as Track of the Week on Alyx Holcombe’s BBC Introducing Rock Show, with “Don’t Bring Me Down” played as part of Radio One’s Giant DJ Hunt. Both singles have also featured in daily rotation on Kerrang! Radio and on Kerrang! TV ‘Rated Rock’ playlists.

2025 will be spent writing and recording their next studio album.
