TRUEANDTRUE returns with HEADLOCK, a double single that captures the band at their most direct and volatile. With a new lineup in place, they lean further into punk and hardcore with sharp turns and performances that feel immediate and extreme.
HEADLOCK is an interrogation of responsibility and change, weaving unflinching writing with fast, tightly wound instrumentals. The two tracks look at what we inherit and what we choose to carry, and pivot toward accountability and action – owning the mess without excuses. The sound hints at, and pays respect to, bands like Converge, At the Drive-In, and Refused, while remaining unmistakably TRUEANDTRUE.
TRUEANDTRUE has made waves with their two EPs, earning international and national attention from outlets such as Stereogum, Metal OBS, NRK P3, Distorted Sound, and disharmoni. disharmoni awarded their latest EP ‘This Won’t Last When You Know the Beginning’ a 5/6, calling it “a study in energy, desperation, and relentlessness”.
