“Vocalist Keaton Pierce houses a perfectly tuned siren of a voice that can go from nervy croon to full-on roar in a manner of seconds” – AllMusic
Lexington, Kentucky post-hardcore band Too Close To Touch unveil their final album ‘For Keeps’ today via Epitaph Records. A celebration of beloved late frontman Keaton Pierce, the posthumous release taps into a library of unfinished and unreleased material brought to life by friends in The Word Alive, Cane Hill and Bad Omens. Their latest single “Novocaine” features guest vocals and production from Bad Omens frontman Noah Sebastian, “serving as a timeless tribute to the friendship and artistic bond shared by Keaton and Noah,” Too Close To Touch reveal via Revolver. They continue,
“ “Novocaine” could never have been completed nor would it have ever been released if not for Noah and all of you, the fans, with your immense effort in keeping Keaton’s memory alive and thriving. We can’t thank you enough, but we hope that each and every one of you lose your voices as you scream their words along with them.”

Over more than ten years and two full-length releases, Too Close To Touch have earned continuous praise for their skillful musicianship and intricate arrangements that highlight each member’s technical ability. The glue that held them together throughout it all was beloved front man Keaton Pierce, who met his untimely death in 2022. A play on one of his many nicknames (“Keeps”), this last catalog entry ensures the preservation of Keaton’s legacy.
“ ‘For Keeps’ is our last gift to the Too Close To Touch community,” guitarist Mason Marble explains. “We would never have existed without Keaton and will not exist without him in the future.” “To be able to give it closure is a blessing,” drummer Kenny Downey continues. “To have this much of him left, his lyrics and emotions captured… not a lot of people have that.”
