As Tigercub gear up for their largest London headline show to date at Koko, the band stands at the forefront of a new wave of UK rock exports gaining international momentum. Their new single ‘A Black Moon’, is the final release before the album and is ‘classic Tigercub’. A dark, symbolic track about confronting heavy, unfamiliar parts of yourself, frontman Jamie Hall says, “Weeping moons, weaving looms, poison, burning skies. ritualistic imagery that reflects deep emotional tension. The production leans into repetition and circular guitar motifs.” Tracked over nine days at the legendary Rockfield Studios in Wales (home to iconic recordings by Queen, Rush, and Oasis) Nets To Catch The Wind captures Tigercub at their most cinematic, visceral, and unrestrained. Many core takes were captured live, foregrounding the raw chemistry of vocalist/guitarist Jamie Hall, bassist Jimi Wheelwright, and drummer James Allix, and resulting in an album that feels both immediate and transcendent. Produced by Tom Dalgety (Royal Blood, Ghost, Pixies), the record pushes the trio into expansive, textured territories, exploring dynamics, space, and emotion with more depth than ever before. The album also expands Tigercub’s sonic world with a co-write from Dom Craik of Nothing But Thieves and a spoken-word performance from Neil Fallon of Clutch. Loosegroove Records co-founder and Pearl Jam guitarist Stone Gossard played a pivotal creative role.
