Thermality releases the music video for “Lost Inside”, one of the most unique tracks on their brand-new album “Concept 42”, out now. The song stands apart from the rest of the record‘s sonic landscape and was, at one point, close to being cut. However, after strong reactions from producer Fredrik Nordström and others in the band‘s circle, it became clear that not only did it deserve a place on the album, but it was also essential. For Walter, who contributed most of the musical foundation to the track, completing the track with a visually compelling video was especially meaningful.
The video tells the story of Ludvig‘s younger sister Nelly, who joins in the chorus and adds an emotional dimension for both the band and the listeners. It portrays her escape from dark thoughts to a place where the music still echoes through the walls, the very venue where Thermality once performed the song. By singing along on the choruses, she finds a connection to the band and a way out of what weighs her down. For fans, there is also a subtle detail: the band‘s mascot Patcher appears in almost every scene for those who look closely.
With Concept 42, Thermality marks a new chapter. Recorded at the legendary Fredman Studios in Gothenburg, the album is the result of a long and determined journey. Throughout the process, the band has explored new musical territories, challenged their limits as musicians and songwriters, and created a work in which every track forms part of a greater whole. Atmospheric, personal, and powerful.
