THE PARALLAX METHOD ARE BACK WITH NEW ALBUM & MORE!
“Devastatingly contagious” Prog Magazine.
Highly acclaimed UK instrumental Prog trio, THE PARALLAX METHOD, return with their gripping debut album, Folie à Trois, out Friday 14th July. The record is preceded by their massively alluring new single, We’ve Learned Nothing, out Friday 7th July.
THE PARALLAX METHOD are three friends: Danny Beardsley (guitars), Dave Wright (drums) and Ben Edis (bass), who got together in 2014 to jam the type of music they loved, without any plan of taking it out of the rehearsal room. With varied influences between them, but with a shared love for modern prog acts such as Periphery, Tesseract and Karnivool, THE PARALLAX METHOD combine contemporary styled prog with old classic rock undertones, framed with innovative songwriting structures and melodic string arrangements. Their compelling sound has garnered them long-lasting support from Prog Magazine and Powerplay Magazine, as well as securing them prominent live appearances at a host of prestigious festivals including Bloodstock, UK Tech Fest, Camden Rocks and Macmillan Fest. They’ve also supported Tesseract, Twelve Foot Ninja, Dorje and Toska, which has added further weight to their growing fanbase.
The band’s debut EP, The Owl, landed in 2015, followed up with part two, The Squid, in May of 2017. Both releases captured the imagination of the music fraternity, and now, after a hiatus (where members concentrated on other projects), THE PARALLAX METHOD are braced to drop their debut full length album, Folie à Trois, or “the madness of three”. Folie à Trois is a stunning body of work that twists and turns through ten instrumental compositions of mind-bending melodies and entwined instrumentation. For fans of prog and classic rock, THE PARALLAX METHOD’s debut album is a feast for all.
