London, Wednesday 3 December: The Molotovs will play a special Christmas show in support of grassroots venues at Bush Hall in west London on Thursday 11th December.
The band will be joined by special guests and profits will go to the Music Venue Trust, supporting grassroots music.
On 30th January The Molotovs will release their debut album, Wasted On Youth (Marshall Records) following three top-10 hit singles: ‘More More More’, ‘Today’s Gonna Be Our Day’ and ‘Rhythm Of Yourself’.
Tickets are on sale now or fans can gain entry with an album pre-order bundle from Sister Ray in Berwick Street, Soho, London.
The band, brother and sister Mathew and Issey Cartlidge, aged 17 and 19, learned their trade by playing more than 600 gigs since they formed in lockdown. They’ve played towns up and down the country and have long supported grassroots venues.
The Save Bush Hall campaign in 2024 was close to the band’s hearts and the venue became the location of their Youth Explosion all-ages gigs – and of a show at which Sex Pistols drummer Paul Cook joined them for a raucous ‘God Save The Queen’.
Matt said: “We can’t wait to get back on that stage at the amazing Bush Hall. 2025 has been a big year for us, and live music generally, and we want to get behind the venues that enable us to have these special nights.”
Despite their youth, Matt and Issey have played more than 600 gigs since 2020. They’ve shared stages with the likes of The Libertines, Sex Pistols, Blondie, Iggy Pop and The Damned – as well as being shouted out by Green Day and Paul Weller.
Issey said: “We’re looking forward to getting lots of friends and familiar faces down to Bush Hall to see out the year. Come down and join us for a massive night in west London”
The Molotovs will be playing grassroots venues around the country in January on the Wasted On Youth Tour.
