‘ALL WE NEED’
BRAND NEW SINGLE RELEASED
LISTEN HERE / WATCH LIVE VIDEO HERE THE INTERSPHERE have released their brand new single ‘All We Need’, the new song follows their latest album Wanderer released in May this year. ‘All We Need’ stems from the recording sessions for the last album yet shows a development on the band’s sound from what has been previously heard on the record. Regarding the musical concept of the new track THE INTERSPHERE singer, guitarist and songwriter Christoph Hessler says, “The song didn’t really want to fit into the album context at the time, but the possibility of releasing singles and giving each song its very own spot seems predestined for this kind of experimentation. We grew up and were socialised with the music of the 80s and I think you can hear that in several of THE INTERSPHERE’s songs over the years. However, we’ve never dared to do it as obviously as on ‘All We Need’.” Furthermore, Hessler explains the lyrical background of the song: “‘All We Need’ deals with the idea of minimalism and the search to find satisfaction in the small, immaterial things. Especially now, during the Christmas season, when consumerism is in full swing and new supposed needs are constantly being awakened during Black Friday, we ask ourselves what we actually need. We quickly realise that consumption is only a fraction of what it means to lead a sustainable and happy life.” Following the release of Wanderer, THE INTERSPHERE have been performing to capacity crowds across their German homeland. They return to the road for a European tour hitting Germany, Austria and Switzerland starting in January, with support coming from UK band Blanket. THE INTERSPHERE have also been announced to perform at RADAR Festival in Manchester this summer and have more UK dates to be announced soon. |
