“Spine-bending workout from the imaginative Atlanta mathcore sextet invites some serious moves at the edge of the moshpit, powered by riffs on guitar and electric fiddle.”. – The Guardian

The Callous Daoboys want to challenge you – and they’re laughing in the face of convention as they do it. They’ll turn your brain upside-down and shake it like a piggy bank while letting off party streamers at the same time, such is the effect of their angular yet playful mathcore that doesn’t merely flirt with other genres as it does wrestle with them.” – Kerrang!

“..The latest from Callous Daoboys speaks to the artistry that is core to the band and the limitless potential that characterizes one of heavy music’s most exciting, emerging voices.” – Knotfest.com

Man, add this to the list of “shit you need to be insanely hyped about”, because Atlanta-based mathcore madcap motherfuckers The Callous Daoboys are back and they’re coming for your throat.” – MetalSucks

Witness the latest exhibit from Atlanta, GA sextet The Callous Daoboys with their new track Distracted by The Mona Lisa unveiled today via MNRK Heavy. Accompanying today’s release is the visceral official music video showcasing the band’s electrifying energy they bring to their live performances. Today’s drop leads to the grand opening of The Museum Of Failure with the release of the band’s highly-anticipated forthcoming album ‘I Don’t Want to See You in Heaven’ out on Friday, 16th May 2025. When asked about the inspiration behind the track, vocalist Carson Pace shared:

There have been countless times in my life where I have felt married to my passion. It’s been detrimental, painful, and has forced me to sacrifice a normal life. This song is me committing to being married to that passion, regardless of the consequences. It’s less a spit in the face of normality, and more a love letter to my own band.

The journey through The Museum Of Failure began with the visceral, full-force energy of Two-Headed Trout/The Demon of Unreality Limping Like A Dog, followed by the striking reveal of Lemon, where pop harmonies danced with heaviness.
