“Bleach” continues the somber mood of “Frozen Waves,” and steadfastly pulls from ’90s influences as The Anix marches on towards the album. The Anix drives the bittersweet soundscape forward with a passionate vocal performance laced between synthesizers, electric and bass guitars, and drums.
“Taking a new simplified direction, stripping back my usual arsenal of effects and track stacking, BLEACH marks the beginning of a new songwriting style for me,” explains The Anix. “It was exciting to re-approach a song with the goal of it sounding ultra-massive, but using fewer ingredients. More time was spent on perfecting absolutely every detail to engulf the listener in a new space. The song continues mood I am pursuing on this album, which is “infinite sadness + infinite power”, which means that the overall mood this collection of songs will put you in is somewhat of an oxymoron, but its the mood I feel most creative in.”
