The 1975’s George Daniel & Oscar Farrell release ‘volc4’ via dh2

George Daniel & Oscar Farrell release ‘volc4’ via dh2.

You can listen to ‘volc4’ HERE and watch the visualiser, created by Samuel Bradley, HERE.

‘volc4’ is the second joint release from the labelmates following ‘volc3’ earlier this year and finds the pair on blistering form yet again.

Daniel & Farrell also went back to back live on Rinse FM last weekend. Listen HERE.

dh2 has made a name for itself over the last 18 months with their now infamous club nights in London, New York and Los Angeles, not to mention their now legendary takeover at Glastonbury’s San Remo this summer, featuring the likes of Kelly Lee OwensSurusinghe, SamphaLil SilvaDaniel AveryTaylor Skye and Bodhi alongside Farrell and label head Daniel.

The label will be bringing their next party to Peckham’s The Carpet Shop for the first time on Thursday 4th December.  You can find more information HERE.

Daniel began releasing his own material in tandem with the launch of dh2 last year, with ‘Screen Cleaner’ and ‘Chlorine’ providing an exciting indication of his unique mix of sharp electronic beats and the impressive breadth of his sonic palette; a breadth that has defined his work with The 1975 and collaborations with artists like Charli xcxThe Japanese HouseCaroline Polachek and salute. His recent credits includes production on ‘Gorgeous’ on Doja Cat’s new album ‘Vie’ and his remix of Bodhi’s ‘Lips’ featuring on the recent ‘fabric presents salute’ mix.

Daniel will be playing at Panorama Bar at Berlin’s Berghain on 28th November.

Label-mate Farrell, an exciting new arrival in the ever-evolving UK electronic world, unveiled his debut EP ‘I’ve Already Called’ back in March before following it up with his second EP ‘So Far South’ last month. Both releases showcase Farrell’s deep understanding of numerous club-styles – it’s a rich, forward thinking sound taking in airy moments of 2-step, grounding basslines and glitchy, chopped vocals. Aside from his production work, Farrell serves as the musical director & bassist for Sampha’s live shows.

Farrell will be playing at Manchester’s Warehouse Project on 13th December alongside Underworld, Caribou, Floating Points and Daphni.
