Teen Metal Band Chained Saint Drop New Single “1000 Tons”

TEEN METAL BAND CHAINED SAINT DROP LYRIC VIDEO FOR NEW SINGLE “1000 TONS” — WATCH + LISTEN

FIRST-EVER HEADLINE TOUR KICKS OFF THIS WEEK

UPCOMING FESTIVAL APPEARANCES INCLUDE ROCKLAHOMA, LOUDER THAN LIFE, + WARPED TOUR

Teen metal band CHAINED SAINT — comprised of four high school students Ethan Kahn (18, guitar), Sebastian De Avila (18, bass), Cameron Cottrell (19, drums) and Sean Sterling (18, vocals) — were one of the most surprising musical discoveries of 2024.

RevolverGuitar WorldLoudwire, Metal Injection, Miami New Times, and Judas Priest legend Rob Halford all praised the band for their chops. SiriusXM’s Liquid Metal added the band to their playlist, and their debut single “Animosity” served as the theme song for the WWE 2K24 DLC 4 trailer in September.

Today, on the eve of the band’s upcoming tour, Chained Saint have shared the brand new single “1000 Tons.”

Listen to the song and watch the lyric video here.

“We are stoked to put out this new single to follow up our debut album Blindside,” the band says. “We have been trying different things, and we’re curious and excited to see what our fans think. This has been our most collaborative song so far as a band. Each member put their own individual stamp on all aspects from the music to lyrics and we’re going to love playing ‘1000 Tons’ live. Keeping in line with our previous recording process, this song was recorded to tape, but this time at Power Station Studios in Pompano Beach, Florida.”

The band continues, “Lyrically, it’s about the weight of the pressure we all feel in life at times, whether it comes from certain people or life situations in general. But it’s also about getting knocked down and getting back up and pushing forward with the attitude that nothing will prevent us from moving past that pressure.”

Essentially, the pressure is the motivation to keep scaling until you reach the summit!

As mentioned, Chained Saint will embark on their first-ever headline tour of the U.S. All dates are below.  Get tickets here.

They will also appear at several festivals through the rest of the year, including Rocklahoma, Louder Than Life, and VANS Warped Tour.Born in a South Florida garage back in the summer of 2022, Chained Saint‘s recently released debut album, Blindside (out via independent label Patriark Records) combines the raw, organic riffery of the best old-school ’80s thrash metal with a dash of modern-day brutality befitting the many challenges confronting the youth of 2024. The past and present collide, resulting in modern, metallic maelstrom made by a bunch of kids who play with fire in their veins — and their hands! Blindside, produced by William DuVall of Alice In Chains, focuses that fury into a powerfully concise, eight-song LP. The album was recorded and mixed to analog tape with no computers involved whatsoever in the recording sessions. No AI. No studio trickery. No bullshit. Just real riffs made by real players.
