Having grown up immersed in the ’90s and early 2000s punk/pop rock scene, Acorn is now leaving her own mark on the genre that shaped her—channeling the emotional bite of Avril Lavigne and the anthemic fire of Paramore. She continues to prove that ’emo’ was never just a phase—creating a new wave of pop punk for younger generations to experience the same energy and emotion that first inspired her.

Taylor Acorn on the track, Good Riddance may be up there as one of my favorite songs I’ve ever written. It’s gritty, it’s fun, empowering, and I feel like it’s going to be a really amazing live moment also. I’m really excited for everyone to hear it!

Acorn’s genre-blending sound hasn’t gone unnoticed—she’s been spotlighted across major streaming platforms for her fearless mix of pop-punk, rock, and alt. On Spotify, she’s landed features on top playlists like Pop RockPop Punk’s Not DeadAll New RockThe SceneThe New AltWomen of RockFierce Femmes, and Today’s Punk. Her powerful cover of “The Locker” received multiple placements, and her collab with Mitchell Tenpenny earned her a spot on Country Rocks, showcasing her range.

Over on Apple Music, she scored a banner feature under Punk for her EP and has been included on playlists like Relationship GoalsWorking From HomeFeeling BlueExcited, and New Music Daily, along with genre-specific lists like New in RockNew in AlternativeNew in CountryNew in Pop, and New in Punk.

Amazon Music has shown her major support on Breakthrough PopBreakthrough AlternativeFresh Alternative, and Pop Culture, while Pandora highlighted her in their Pop Punk spotlight.

Acorn is further solidifying her spot in the pop rock world by playing When We Were Young Festand the legendary rock festival Warped Tour. She’s also currently hitting the road and touring across the U.S. for the Summer School tour this summer.

Taylor Acorn Bio

Taylor Acorn is a singer-songwriter whose emotionally raw music has connected with fans around the world. Originally from Northern Pennsylvania, she started performing in a pop-punk band as a teen before trading in a track and field scholarship for a shot at music. After years of grinding— playing local shows, posting YouTube covers, and working at restaurants—she eventually signed a publishing deal and moved to Nashville. There, a chance creative partnership with producer Dan Swank reignited her love for early 2000s pop-punk, leading to viral covers and a genre- bending breakout moment. Acorn’s path hasn’t been easy, but her resilience and authenticity shine through in her lyrics, live shows, and the deep connection she builds with her audience.

PRAISE FOR TAYLOR ACORN

“Taylor Acorn’s debut album, Survival In Motion, is a testament to inner strength. Brought up by early ’90s and 2000s pop punk, the Nashville-based singer is making her own mark on the genre that raised her through bold vulnerability, a strong sense of self, and wide-eyed ambition.

Undoubtedly indebted to Avril Lavigne and Amy Lee, Acorn’s soaring voice on the title track launches the LP on an impressive note.” – Alternative Press

“Driven by melody and a desire for catharsis, from starting out in the country scene through her evolution into a pop-punk artist, a throughline of candidness has bound everything the 30-year-old creates.”  Rock Sound

“Following the success of her previous singles, ‘Greener’ and ‘High Horse,’ [‘Survival In Motion’] is a riotous and powerful offering with edgy guitar riffs, high-octane percussion patterns, and poignant lyrics delivered by rich vocals…” – Ones To Watch

“The powerhouse vocals, crisp songwriting, and the overall feeling of good vibes coming through the speakers washed over me from the opening notes all the way to the dramatic conclusion of the album.”  Chorus.fm
