SWEAR BLINDUNLEASH DEBUT SINGLE AND REDEFINE
MODERN BRITISH GRUNGE What a way to make a debut. Alt-Rock Nottingham natives SWEAR BLIND have arrived in a big way. Songwriting duo Drew Lawson (Vocals/Guitar/Electronics/Producer) and Roo Buxton (Vocals/Guitar) have been penning tunes together for many years, now joined by Liam Broad (Drums) and newly signed to Easthaven Records, the trio are finally ready to unleash SWEAR BLIND’s debut single “Waster” into the world. Spending the last decade honing their skills in behind-the-scenes roles and touring with the likes of While She Sleeps and Frank Carter & The Rattlesnakes, the invaluable experience gained during this time has given them the knowledge and drive to create something truly special and a burning desire to get back in front of the curtain – but why now? Lawson says: “a certain global event gave us the time to finish a project we’ve been working on for many years and to continue our writing. It gave us a new focus in doing the things that we love doing, plus it gave us a good reason to hang out! We’ve been mates for years so that wasn’t an opportunity we wanted to miss.” Writing together has always been a massive outlet for the mental heath issues that the two lead songwriters have dealt with in their lives. Being able to funnel those words and feelings into SWEAR BLIND together has helped them to find a feeling of belonging. As Lawson puts it: “I want to open that dialogue, for myself and Roo, but for others who hear our music and need to feel that sense of belonging as well.” |
