“Suffer No Fools is creating a moshable ’80s tinged brand of hardcore that stands out from it’s contemporaries with a high level of musicianship meshed with a hair-trigger sense of aggression.” – New Noise Magazine

“‘Tha Hard Way’ perfect showcase for their penchant for mid-tempo guitar riffs and moshy rhythmic shifts.” – No Echo

Michigan based Suffer No Fools hit the crossover sound itch, combining hardcore with elements of thrash and speed metal. Today, the band release their debut album To Live Is To Suffer out through Heroes + Martyrs. The record is seven songs that burst with dirty riffs and roaring vocals that would entice fans of bands like Leeway and Mindforce. The album was self-produced by the band, grasping at a raw yet refined sound, with drums recorded at Howl Street in Milwaukee, WI and mixing and mastering by 19 Stars Recording in Northwest Indiana.

Suffer No Fools started in late 2021 when vocalist Kyle Donovan started laying down riffs and vocals for fun, and it soon formed into a full vision. Joining up with drummer Nick Erickson, the pair would create the band’s 2022 demo Soul Violence, which received a strong reaction in their hometown of Houghton, Michigan and beyond. From there, the band fleshed out and released single “My Fury” in early 2023 and signing to label Heroes + Martyrs that same year. The band’s aggressive, riff-fueled sound has shined playing alongside bands such as No Warning, Bad Beat, and Last Gasp.

Suffer No Fools is Kyle Donovan (vocals), Tyler Hillman (guitar), Nick Erickson (drums), Logan Sleeman (guitar), and JJ Kaiser (bass).
