Today, Connecticut band Splitview make their debut with single “Cherish” and announce their signing to Static Era Records (Clearbody, Cinema Stare). The band builds on dark melodies, grunge-centric guitars, and an enthralling mix of raspy and lighter vocals. Drawing influence from acts like Superheaven, and Balance and Composure, Splitview follows bands like Soul Blind and Bleed into the next wave of alternative grunge. Having put their time into many local bands previously, it’s no surprise Splitview’s video for “Cherish” demonstrates a dynamic and eye catching performance from the band. On “Cherish,” the band shares:
“This song will take you through the mindset of desperation, and craving a resolution for the heaviest weight on your shoulders to be lifted free, and panicking when that doesn’t happen before you break.”
Splitview is Erik Brzoska – Guitar and Vocals, Chris Kovacs – Lead Guitar, Jimmy Davenport – Bass, and Max Laabs – Drums.
