Emerging Spanish/Irish alternative pop-rock artist J. Delva releases 80s-influenced

power ballad ‘Awakening’ on November 8th, 2024

‘Awakening’ is a neon-infused heart-wrenching pop/rock power ballad that will dramatically enliven the colors and awaken the emotions of a cold Autumn night – reminiscent of 80s epic and melodramatic rock ballads by the likes of Def Leppard or Survivor complemented by 2000s big melodic hits such as Backstreet Boys with a bright and modern sound, colorful melodies and memorable lyrics.

J. Delva (Javi del Val) is a Dublin based singer & songwriter from Spain who left it all behind and moved to Ireland to start from zero and pursue his career abroad given his anglophone influences and musical style after cultivating some success in his homeland making several media appearances, winning the talent show ‘The Voice of Madrid’ with an original song which sparked a series of performances on radio and TV, performing in various festivals and festivities all around the country, and winning various competitions and prizes.

Javi does music professionally full-time performing at private events, bars or pubs and in Grafton Street occasionally, and also writes and produces for other artists as he wrote and co-produced a Nº1 hit single in Ecuador ‘Color’ by Dayanara ft. Daniel del Valle.

Commenting on the single ‘Awakening’, J. Delva adds, “I know I probably shouldn’t say this in a professional sense but this is honestly my favorite song so far, by far; it’s been in production for the whole year and I cannot wait to finally share it with the world.

J. combines his music with engaging visuals such as lyric videos or live performances and personable social media content which will accompany the single following its release.

To promote ‘Awakening’ , J. Delva will launch a social media marketing campaign and perform as a featured artist at a number of acoustic sessions and showcases across Dublin the following week such as Whelan’s Song Cycle, Sin É’s Open Mic or Fibber Magees’ Thursday Sessions, all of which have free entry.
