South African Alternative Pop Singer-Songwriter Tian Nienaber Releases Hard-Hitting Inspirational Sophomore Single ‘Soldier On’ Produced By Peach van Pletzen

Tian Nienaber ‘Soldier On’ was originally part of a challenge I did during the Pandemic Lockdown, where I wrote 21 songs in 21 days. It was written shortly after my debut single ‘Hurting Love’ and subsequently evolved into an anthem of hope with a positive message to always hold tight onto the most important and precious things in your life, especially when you get knocked down. With ‘Soldier On’ I aim to inspire those in need to always fight on and fight strong when life knocks you down! It also addresses the hard truth, that often you need to choose which things to sacrifice to achieve the goals you want to achieve.

Tian Nienaber is a passionate South African Singer-Songwriter who started his career in the Music Industry at the age of 17 as a Sound Engineer and Rigger. For the first 6 years of his career, Tian spent a lot of time on the road with copious artists and assisted several sizeable festivals (learning as much as possible about the industry, whilst building invaluable relationships). Tian has been playing guitar and writing music since the age of 12, so it came as no surprise that he decided to follow his dream to become a Performing Artist after experiencing the Music Industry behind-the-scenes.

The past 7 years Tian has been performing his formidable marque of Alternative Acoustic Tunes full-time, playing notable festivals like ALTERNATIEF IS GROOT, ZEEGUNST and STRAB. Tian has opened for top South African artists like Francois van Coke, Fokofpolisiekar and Die Heuwels Fantasties.

In September 2021, Tian released original material with his debut single and video called ‘Hurting Love’ (produced by Peach Van Pletzen at Planet Awesome). ‘Hurting Love’ received critical acclaim globally, with charting positions on the TOP 40 in South Africa and Banks Radio Australia, whilst winning the Banger Music Award in the US for Best Solo Artist 2021.
