SUS TOUR THIS FALL SUPPORTING STICK TO YOUR GUNS

Progressive metalcore disruptors Soulkeeper have released their new single ‘Go Ask Alice’. Taken from the band’s recently announced highly anticipated new EP, Join Us In Creating Excellence, set for release on 19th September, 2025 via Pure Noise Records.

Speaking about the new single the band said, “Go Ask Alice is a kind of part two of Join Us In Creating Excellence lyrically, but from the POV of someone falling for a cult of personality. The song elaborates on how people fall into holes that feel so inescapable that they would accept any help they can get, even if it changes them completely.”

Speaking on the upcoming upcoming EP the band said “We view this EP as a transitional period for the band as well as a sample of what is to come with our next LP. We took everything that we loved about our recent LP “Holy Design” and doubled down on every aspect that we believe made it great. Distorted monophic synthesizers, unpredictable transitions, glitchy production and just general dissonant nonsense are all even more pronounced with this release and thanks to working with Jonathan Dolese on these songs we couldn’t be more happy with how they come out sounding and how excited we are for the future.”

Last year, Soulkeeper announced their signing to Pure Noise with the label’s reissue of their debut album, Holy Design. Now, the Minnesota outfit have returned with their first new music since in the form of new EP Join Us In Creating Excellence. That title is taken from the infomercial in Darren Aronofsky’s 2000 film Requiem For A Dream that helps drive Sara Goldfarb crazy, in which its host gets a rabid crowd to chant “JUICE”—an acronym for that phrase—over and over again. While these four songs aren’t based on the movie, a sound clip from that infomercial does introduce the extreme, caustic title track that begins this EP, and its four songs certainly emulate the trippy and paranoid, delusional and disturbing nature of that fever dream within the fever dream.

Known for their chaotic energy, blistering instrumentation, and fearless experimentation, Soulkeeper continue to push the boundaries of heavy music. Join Us In Creating Excellence delivers four tracks of unrelenting sonic aggression, laced with glitchy textures, angular riffs, and unfiltered emotion – a bold step forward in the band’s evolving sound.

Produced by Jonathan Dolese, Join Us In Creating Excellence serves as a powerful next step for the band, albeit a short and sweet one. Clocking in at just 10-and-a-half minutes, the EP delivers everything it needs to, but leaves you wanting more the moment it finishes.
