2023 is gearing up to be a massive year for UK thrash kings
Solitary, with the band announcing their extensive
Thrash Domination live campaign which will see them play their first ever shows in Ireland and Germany, as well as returning to The Netherlands, where they played successful dates on their Diseased Tour Of Society run back in 2017 and 2018. And of course loyal UK thrashers will be given plenty of opportunity to see the band as they hit everywhere from Belfast to Newcastle, Glasgow to London and plenty more inbetween. The shows will include a Friday night headliner appearance at
Eradication Festival and a trip to the
Call Of The Wild Festival. At the heart of the Thrash Domination tour are nine co-headline dates with acclaimed German thrashers
Eradicator, Solitary’s
Metalville labelmates, whose 2021 album
Influence Denied was described by
Zero Tolerance Magazine as being “absolutely unequivocal, unrepentant thrash”. The perfect touring partners for Solitary – the band that have promised to thrash forever!
Speaking about the co-headline dates Solitary’s Rich Sherrington commented:
“After all the chaos of brexit and covid, to say it’s a relief to finally be able to play shows in Europe again is an understatement. Like many bands we had European shows booked in 2020 and plenty of plans to do lots more to promote The Truth Behind The Lies. It came out in October 2020 and to date we’ve only been able to play 11 shows in support of it. For that reason it still feels like relatively new material to us. However we are in the process of recording the follow up so the second half of the year we will be promoting a brand new album! 2023 is going to be hectic, but we’re looking forward to seeing everyone at all the shows and sharing the bill with our fellow thrashers Eradicator!”
Eradicator front man Seba Stöber is just as keen to unleash hell on the venues of Europe with Solitary:
“We’re looking forward to teaming up with our thrash metal brothers and label mates in Solitary for the upcoming Thrash Domination tour in May and October this year. It is not only the first international tour for Eradicator, but also the first time for us crushing the stages of England!”
Explaining the choice of title for the tour, Rich Sherrington adds:
“The Thrash Domination Campaign isn’t about us or Eradicator dominating the scene, it’s saying that thrash is still the top metal genre – 40 years after its inception in 1983!”
Solitary are currently hard at work on the follow up to their neck-breaking The Truth Behind The Lies album with producer Simon Efemey (Amorphis, Napalm Death, Paradise Lost etc) with the aim of an autumn release. Look out for that and don’t miss the hardest hitting thrash package on the road this year, the Thrash Domination Campaign!
