Simple Forms (members of Norska and YOB) Release First Track Simple Forms have just dropped their first track under the name (see Decibel premiere)… Listen/Post: “Unprecedented Uncertainty” Simple Forms is a dark rock band emerging from the fertile creative milieu of Portland, Oregon. Established by scene veterans from the band Norska, including Aaron Rieseberg (Yob, Norska), his brother Dustin (Norska), Ben Stoller (Dark Numbers), Rob Shaffer (Dark Castle, Into The Moat, Norska, ex-Lord Dying) and Jason Oswald (Norska) the band has crafted a sound that is wholly their own. Simple Forms, drawing influence from such artists as Soundgarden, The Cure, Killing Joke and David Bowie, has a heavy approach that is multi-layered, 90’s nostalgic and strangely triumphant. Decades of friendship between the band members have culminated in a 2022 self-titled EP which was received with general acclaim by the Portland rock and metal community. With this release Simple Forms has garnered fans throughout their local scene, appealing to them with their grungy, heavy rock sound. Their dynamic and thrilling approach will undoubtedly entrance heavy music listeners.Simple Forms has achieved a sound that is emotionally powerful and eternally resonant.
