Shed Seven are today announcing details of their forthcoming new album Shed Seven, which is set for release on 8th January 2027 via Cooking Vinyl. They are also sharing the album’s lead single ‘Stand Together‘, as well as details of how to live stream a surprise, instantly-sold-out acoustic show from London’s 100 Club tonight, compered by Steve Lamacq.

Appearing on Radio X earlier today to perform acoustically, and launch new single ‘Stand Together’, their forthcoming album will be their seventh studio outing, fittingly self-titled. The band have enjoyed a remarkable resurgence in recent years. In 2024, they made chart history by achieving their first ever Number 1 album with A Matter Of Time, followed just ten months later by a second Number 1 with Liquid Gold, placing them alongside artists such as The Beatles, Elton John and David Bowie in achieving two UK Number 1 albums within a single calendar year.

New single ‘Stand Together’ showcases the band at their sky-scraping best.

Lead singer Rick Witter comments on today’s announcement: “We are excited to announce the imminent arrival of our 7th studio album which is eponymously titled Shed Seven to honour the fact. We have taken great care in making this album what we believe to be our best yet, and we hope these songs are taken to people’s hearts. The brand new comeback single ‘Stand Together’ shows a statement of intent. It’s a call to arms and a rallying cry for some kind of unity in the world we live in today.”

In 2025, the band delivered a critically acclaimed set at Glastonbury, described by MOJO as a “triumphant return.” They were also awarded Best Live Act at the Independent Music Awards, voted for by fans, before going on to play a series of major outdoor shows that rank among the biggest of their 30-year career. As Shed Seven look ahead to the tenth edition of their beloved Shedcember tour series, fans can also watch the band perform a special acoustic show from London’s 100 Club tonight.
