Thursday, April 10th, 2025 – Today, Shadow of Intent unveil “Infinity of Horrors,” the third single from their upcoming full-length Imperium Delirium (out June 27 via Blood Blast Distribution). The track arrives with a stark visual companion that pulls no punches—stream it here and watch the animated music video by Marco Pavone here.

Where lead single “Feeding the Meatgrinder” opened fire on systemic violence and military machinery, “Infinity of Horrors” dives deeper into the psychological toll of war and conquest. Through a devastating sonic architecture—equal parts orchestral grandiosity, dissonant riffing, and suffocating breakdowns—the band exposes the deeper rot beneath the battlefield. In place of a traditional quote, the band offer a sobering reflection from Florence Nightingale, whose words still echo today:

“What the horrors of war are, no one can imagine. They are not wounds and blood and fever, spotted and low, or dysentery, chronic and acute, cold and heat and famine. They are intoxication, drunken brutality, demoralization and disorder on the part of the inferior… jealousies, meanness, indifference, selfish brutality on the part of the superior.”

Lyrically and thematically, Imperium Delirium continues Shadow of Intent’s descent into the real-world horrors that define our past and foreshadow our future. From mythic allegory to modern bloodshed, the band’s subject matter confronts the sickness of empires, the seduction of violence, and the machinery of death that fuels it all. As always, the sound is enormous—melding symphonic grandeur, blackened melody, razor-sharp technicality, and punishing breakdowns into a style that remains utterly their own. The two previously released singles from the album – 2024’s “Flying The Black Flag” and “Feeding The Meatgrinder” feat Corpsegrinder have clocked up 1.2 million views on Youtube and 3 million streams on Spotify alone.

Since their formation in 2014, SHADOW OF INTENT have garnered a reputation for crafting mind-blowingly technical, prog tinged symphonic deathcore. Widely acknowledged as one of the forerunners of the current deathcore renaissance, the band’s debut album ‘Primordial’ was named as one of Revolver Magazine’s ‘15 Essential Deathcore Albums‘, with Metal Sucks giving their 2019 album ‘Melancholy’ a perfect 5/5 review, stating “you can expect Shadow of Intent to send echoes across metal for as long as they feel like making music”. To date, they amassed over 200 million streams, 63 million YouTube Views and have 387,000 monthly listeners on Spotify.
