Swedish progressive metal masters Seventh Wonder have today announced that their first four studio albums will be reissued on 15th September via Frontiers. Originally released by Lion Music and long out of print, ‘Become’, ‘Waiting In The Wings’, ‘Mercy Falls’ and ‘The Great Escape’ will all sport new liner notes written by the band and are also being made available on vinyl for the very first time. “We are super happy to share this news with you,” states band co-founder/bassist Andreas Blomqvist. “Many of our fans have been awaiting the return of our previous albums to streaming platforms and that is now happening, while having them available on vinyl is really cool and again something many have been asking about. It was a lot of fun to sit down and write the liner notes for the CDs, so be sure to check these out too for some previously untold stories!” Seventh Wonder was formed in 2000 by Blomqvist, guitarist Johan Liefvendahl and drummer Johnny Sandin, with keyboardist Andreas ‘Kyrt’ Söderin joining late that year to cement sonic explorations that had already gravitated towards a prog metal sound. Vocalist Andi Kravljaca joined prior to the release of their well received 2005 debut album, ‘Become’, although he left immediately before its full release and was replaced by Tommy Karevik (Kamelot, ex-Vindictiv). Its 2006 follow-up, ‘Waiting In The Wings’, was a huge leap forward musically, which was reflected in outstanding reviews and fan accolades as the group established themselves as a force to be reckoned with, spending the following year touring throughout northern Europe with the likes of Queensrÿche, Testament and Redemption. ‘Mercy Falls’ (2008) was similarly hailed as a true masterpiece at the time of its release and saw them add territories such as Italy to their regular promotional touring schedule, while ‘The Great Escape’ two years later saw them make their US debut at ProgPower Festival.
