Today, German-based alternative outfit SEVEN BLOOD have self-released their debut album Life Is Just A Phase. The album is a bold and emotionally-charged journey of introspection, seeing the band reflect on and share their life experiences as a form of both catharsis and aid for anyone listening. Listen to the album here and purchase it here. Speaking on the new release, vocalist Azaria Nasiri shares:
“It still feels unreal to be releasing this debut album this week. It truly comprises the DNA of Seven Blood. We have only been active as a band for 1.5 years, but that time has already been filled with so many great things. Two European tours, our first big festivals, and more. “All of that has heavily influenced this album and who we are as a band today. I believe we have really started to tell our story.” To celebrate the release of the record, SEVEN BLOOD are shining a bright light on ‘Hourglass‘. It sits at the very core of the record and serves as one of its most emotionally volatile tracks, exploring despair, distress and and the search for hope in a dark place. Speaking about ‘Hourglass’, Nasiri divulges:
“‘Hourglass’ is the sound of total emotional depletion. It’s an urgent, desperate confrontation with burnout. It captures that moment when you’re exhausted from the internal fight – the constant effort to keep your weakness hidden while everything around you is falling apart. The core truth is simply: ‘I’m not fine.’ “The song is a violent fantasy of escape: I want to ‘break the hourglass’ to stop the clock that is forcing me toward an end I don’t want. It’s the plea for one last, single chance to hit pause, sort out the entire mess, and heal before I have to walk away and say goodbye.” SEVEN BLOOD TOUR DATES

Building on the growing success that each new single has brought them, including tours alongside bands such as Future Palace, Ankor and Conquer Divide to name a few, SEVEN BLOOD‘s debut album Life Is Just A Phase is set to elevate the band from exciting newcomers into a force to be reckoned with. The album is brimming with raw emotion and captivating honesty, weaving introspective and personal storytelling with an anthemic soundtrack to create a powerful, relatable record. ABOUT SEVEN BLOOD:
SEVEN BLOOD is more than just a band; it’s a collective born from personal crises, aiming to become a soundtrack for healing for those going through their own traumatic times. The quartet’s deeply personal songs tell the contrasting life stories of its members. There’s guitarist Oli Arnold and drummer Anfy Hartmann, who grew up in the former East German stronghold of Suhl, where their childhood was shaped by the constant decay of their hometown. “Growing up in a ghost town like that played a bigger role than I ever thought,” Oli reflects. Punk, metal, and emo became the soundtrack to their disillusionment, until at 18 they packed their bags and moved to Berlin to dive into a completely new music scene. There, they met singer Azaria Nasiri, whose youth was also a search for belonging. As the daughter of Moroccan and Iranian parents, she struggled to find her place. “I came from two very different cultural backgrounds and lived in a completely different one, which always made me feel like I was searching for a place where I belonged but never really found it,” Azaria explains. In spring 2023, Azaria, Oli, and Anfy came together—with bassist Josi Hille joining later—each at a personal and creative crossroads. The band became their outlet to channel pain into music. Their first single, ‘Killing From The Inside’, is the result of this raw honesty, based on Azaria’s experience with sociopathic behaviour and her own self-reflection.Despite their short history, SEVEN BLOOD has already built an impressive live career. They played their first concert in 2024, supporting the US band Underoath. In their first year alone, they completed two major European tours, supporting both Future Palace and the Spanish metal band Ankor. The summer of 2025 marked the next milestone, with major festival shows at Summer Breeze, Nexus Festival, and the Wacken Cruise. They also toured with US bands Kittie and Holy Wars, further solidifying their international presence.SEVEN BLOOD creates a unique sound that blends heavy, riff-driven elements inspired by Bring Me The Horizon, Architects, and Paramore with more atmospheric sounds in the vein of Fleetwood Mac and Boygenius. For them, it’s not just about how their music sounds, but about the feeling it creates and how it tells their stories. The band’s mission is to build a connection with their fans based on honesty, respect, and a shared understanding of life’s challenges. BAND MEMBERS
