Scotlands M2TM Winners HAMMER Unleash Accelerator

Hammer Unleash Accelerator

Having come through as the victors of Scotland’s Metal To the Masses and storming two shows in Glasgow in support of Grindcore Legends BRUJERIA and rising experimental heavy hitters METH, Hammer will be heading to Bloodstock this summer to bring their riffs to Derbyshire.

To mark the occasion the band have worked hard to get another single out ahead of their festival appearance to showcase their relentless sound. Following on from this April’s release of From Beyond, debuting new vocalist Jim Andrews, Hammer has sought to keep up their aggressive sound with a fresh track. Accelerator brings all things Hammer to the table: razor-sharp riffs, roaring bass, thundering drums and raw brutal vocals. A live favourite for both the audience and the group this track is a love letter from the band to all things metal. Listeners can expect to hear a variety of the band’s influences on this track, from classic, extreme and death metal.

You can catch Hammer on the New Blood stage, on Friday the 9th of August at Bloodstock. Following this release and festival appearance, Hammer are planning on hitting the studio to release a larger collection of their new material.

Accelerator will be released digitally on the 25th of July 2024, available on all streaming platforms. Drums were recorded at Nameless City Sound by Jamie Gilchrist. Tracks mixed & mastered by Kris Kournavos.

Hammer are a five-piece extreme metal band with their roots in Edinburgh’s music scene since 2018. With their original line-up, Hammer released an album and a handful of singles. With the addition of Jim on vocals in 2023, Hammer have gone on to define a much more aggressive and intense sound with the 2024 release of From Beyond and more planned releases for the year.

Inspired by a variety of bands and a mix of genres, Hammer blends a variety of death, groove and hardcore metal. A fiercely energetic band live, Hammer draw their lyrical and visual inspiration from the likes of practical effects-laden 80’s and 90’s horror.
