The 15th annual edition of the heavy music showcase has landed, with a brutal collection of artists, including Iranian/English black metal headliners, Trivax (Osmose Productions), Brummie prog-death crew, As The World Dies (Reaper Entertainment), Scottish death/folk project, Hand Of Kalliach (Prosthetic Records), and many more. A highlight of the metal calendar North of the UK border, it takes place September 5 – 6th, at Hidden and Music Hall Dundee.

The Friday will be held as a special, extended session of the growing Mosh Monthly event series, which has been organised for the last year and a half by the fest’s co-promoters, Slow Dragon Music and Kevvymetal Promotions. The main show, taking place across two stages on the Saturday, features 13 bands, with zero clashes. Blind Bat tickets are now done! They sold out in under two weeks, so a huge thanks is due to everyone who has shown their support so far, putting their faith in the event before the billing beans were spilled. Full priced advance tickets are now available at £17 (£20 on the door), giving full access to both days. For those who can only make it to the Mosh Monthly Warmup Special, entry is £10 on the door, while supplies last.

A bastion of emerging heavy talent North of the UK border, it has been the place to discover your new favourite riff peddlers for a decade and a half. As a well-curated collection of hot grassroots artists, it has provided an early platform for bands such as Party Cannon, King Witch, Dog Tired and Ramage Inc. It also dropped the first UK festival headline slots for the likes of Saor, Hellripper, and more.
Continuing the mission to promote proper rising metal acts in its fifteenth year, Hordes X is set to be another stacked neckwrecker across the board. From brand new black metal in Bleached and Pict, to powerful death/metalcore from Bloodsun and From Tyranny, and titanic prog with Man Made Origin and Atlantic Rift, this is the Beast in the East. Scottish Metal 2 The Masses winners and finalists abound, with Nassau, Dreich, Nothing Speaks, and the mighty Hammer. Keeping the energy high, national underground heroes Certain Death and Thrashist Regime launch a two pronged party from North and South. And of course, the Hidden headliners in Hand Of Kalliach and As The World Dies lay the place to waste in preparation for the coming of Trivax’s infernal final assault.
