Salos – Greek Post-Metal Duo Share Music Video For New Single “Leviathan”

Salos – Greek Post-Metal Duo Share Music Video For New Single “Leviathan”

Emerging from the Aegean underground with the force of a rising tide, SALOS, a Greek post-metal instrumental duo shaped by the atmospheric power of God Is an Astronaut, Russian Circles, and progressive metal’s darker currents, reveal a brand-new music video for their debut single “LEVIATHAN.”

This first offering marks the opening chapter of their forthcoming debut album, introducing a new voice in cinematic heaviness.

Forged between Japanese-oriented tonal aesthetics and the monolithic pulse of post-metal minimalism, “LEVIATHAN” traces a ritual of collapse and rebirth. The band frames the piece under the sigil:

    THE RITUAL OF LEVIATHAN

“Disrupted… The sand becomes memory, sea becomes the voice, the cave a gateway.
Within its stone throat, confront the metamorphosis.”

With no lyrics to anchor the journey, the track moves through tectonic waves of melody, drone, and tension, immersing the listener in a mythic undertow.

Today, SALOS release both the single and its official music video, offering the first visual descent into their world.

SALOS emerges from the Aegean deep: an instrumental force channeling post-metal, drone, and cinematic weight into ritual form. Two voices. No words. Only tide.

Originating as a long-gestating project dating back to 2016 and taking full shape in Kalamata, Greece in 2021, the duo draws from the atmospheric intensity of God Is an Astronaut and the chilling architecture of Russian Circles, while forging their own path into progressive metal’s shadowed expanse.

“Leviathan” was recorded at Eightyard Studios by Chris Vlachos, mixed and mastered by Steve Lado.

It marks the first passage into the band’s debut full-length, set for release in Q1 2026.
