Sacramento-based alt hard rock band SOLELY VEIL have today released their new EP, REVERIE, via The Artery Foundation. It is the band’s debut release.

Listen to the five-track EP here.

REVERIE captures the feeling of being stuck between reality and the thoughts that keep you up at night,” says the band’s vocalist Allen Wheeler. about the EP as a whole. “Each song is a different part of that struggle. It’s honest, uncomfortable, and exactly where we were when we wrote it.”

Regarding the song “Static,” Wheeler offers, “It’s about the experience of being trapped in a dream-like state where the boundaries between reality and illusion collapse, as a malevolent entity seeks to assert control, leaving you unable to distinguish what is real from what is not.” Listen here.

It’s a heavy concept but it’s one worth ruminating on via the song!
